1 week down!!

Today was the last work day of the week! Tomorrow is a national holiday for Kenya, Madaraka Day, which commemorates the day in 1963 that Kenya attained internal self-rule after decades as a British colony. So it is a day off of work! We are planning on going on a hike tomorrow with Simon and some others from the workshop!

We had some visitors from the Solar PV team who are putting in solar panels for an orphanage in Kenya! A couple of them came to visit and have lunch today!

Emma and JR continued their training on AFOs and the wrist splint. JR also finished designing the prosthetic hand for our patient. Erik and Dan continued making AFOs with the technicians. Thomas met with the patient we are fitting for a prosthetic hand to check the sizing of the sockets, it went very well! Emily began researching good excersies to show one of Thomas' patients to increase the range of motion of his wrist. Katie, Tim, and Erik learned how to make the Steenbeek brace to treat clubfoot!
