Here is a recap of our past 2 days!
Yesterday we went to church in the morning and then traveled to Nairobi for dinner with Minah, who is Dr. Widmer's niece, and did not get back to the guesthouse until midnight because of the very bad traffic coming back from Nairobi (which is why there was no blog post yesterday)!
Today was another work day! Emily, Katie, and Erik got to observe a clubfoot surgery while Emma continued training, Thomas and JR worked on the prosthetic hands, and Dan and Tim helped where they were needed!
We also had lunch with 2 former Messiah College students! We met them on Saturday while at the Elephant Orphanage and they noticed the Collaboratory tag on Erik's backpack! Jordan and Kimberly Beckler graduated in 2011 and have been dorm parents at Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe for the past 5 years with their 2 children!
Our week is pretty busy as we finish the rest of the training and creating the prosthetic hands!
